About the Lakefront Summer Festival

The Lakefront Summer Festival is sponsored by Columbia Association and held on the lawn at the Downtown Columbia Lakefront, located off of Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia. Admission is free and so is parking. No glass containers or alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises. There is great entertainment throughout the summer every night of the week from mid June through late August. The fun continues into September with movies on the weekends until mid September and concerts on Sundays through September. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy the live performances and movies. Our schedule has something for everyone and is sure to please!

Great place to watch shows, they just need to get more of the local scene to play there, they always have something family friendly going on so take the family out for a good evening there...

It's lovely here to walk around. There is a Whole Foods at the corner, so one can buy snacks or a picnic. There are benches, fountain and boardwalk. Bring a fishing pole. Nice place for a date.

Best place to visit daily! Best for free movies on hot summer nights, local musicians, talent competitions. Bring a blanket and enjoy Lake Kittamaqundi backdrop! This is the 50th Birthday of Columbia. Come experience the luminarium this weekend!

The Lakefront Stage is a focal point in Howard county for social gathering in the evenings. The season runs from late spring to fall (due to weather) and there is something free going on here more nights than not. The whole place is open, and parents just let their kids have the run of the place — in a good way. There are lots of good dining choices within a minute's walk. Especially with the extensive takeout counter offerings at the new Whole Foods next door. If you live in HoCo and you don't take advantage of this, you are missing out.

Beautiful place to visit. The fireworks were awesome and the area was a great venue for the July 4th event featuring live band music. I'm not really sure what the area functions as during normal days but its near water and has restaurants that have waterfront view seating. Absolutely gorgeous place though.
