Our Story
Regarding the Hysteria name, it stems from our passion as homebrewers exploring and experimenting with different ingredients. Fancying ourselves mad scientists, we're playing off of those inventors that came before us, so often thought of as mad for their ideas.
It started with a single batch and grew from there. Like so many, we have homebrew roots.

Hysteria sets out to create a taproom drawing on the innovative, collaborative, and community-driven atmosphere that makes craft beer special. Hysteria believes a business can be a valuable part of the community and aims to elevate the lives of its patrons, offering a welcoming, friendly, and engaging taproom experience. We aim to collaborate with our friends and neighbors across Maryland to create a truly unique product distinct to the state we call home.
Hysteria strives to make bold, flavorful beers with and eye on the ever evolving techniques that make brewing today so great, we are committed to continual experimentation.
