Love this place. So many events to attend (We go to the Southern Maryland Celtic Festival every year). It's lush, green, and the trees in the entry way are the first welcoming thing you see. This is definitely a lovely spot in southern Maryland.

Amazing place, and a hidden gem. On one hand is a very beautiful public park. On the other it’s a center of archeological treasures and research. There are active digs, a reconstructed Indian village and an excellent museum. The staff couldn’t be friendlier and more helpful. This place is more than worth a visit!

Everyone wants to talk about the Celtic festival here... There is so much more here. Check it out. So much history. Check out the Outlander exhibit. Also have activities for kids and other events. Also went to children's day here & will be attending that every year. Something to checkout. Some events free but not all.... Like the Celtic festival ticket pricing this year was rediculous!

Wonderful site for the annual Southern Maryland Celtic Festival. We have been attending for over 20 years. Spacious grounds and amble parking on a beautiful historic site. Sunset over the Patuxent River is a favorite moment.

A wonderful place with an archeological museum with finds from Native American, colonial, early American, and 20th century life. Tour the park by car or foot and enjoy the views and many excellent interpretive signs. Everyone will like the Native American village and the digs at the 1680s tobacco farm. You can even view the location of a small 1814 naval engagement from one of the hills (look for the cannon). You could easily spend the day here and have a picnic at one of the scenic sites.
