Towsontown Spring Festival
400 Washington Avenue

The Towsontown Spring Festival started 41 years ago as the Towsontown Art Exhibit. It was held in the Baltimore County Courtyard and in 1968 it joined the Bicentennial Celebration.

Artists from the Towson School of Fine Arts exhibited their work. A distinguished panel of judges announced the awards in various categories, including a special show for young people.

Campus Hill Community Association has some of the favorite booths among the teenagers serving lemon and peppermint sticks. Dressed in colonial costume, residents of the community were busy throughout the day preparing the refreshments as the crowds visited them at the corner of Washington and West Pennsylvania.

Today with the help of 100's of volunteers, sponsors and many Baltimore County Agencies, the Towsontown Spring Festival has turned into the largest outdoor festival in Maryland and one of the largest on the east coast. Approximately 250,000 visitors attend the two day event with more than 450 vendors to satisfy the appetites of our patrons. In addition there are four entertainment stages with over 50 acts and numerous national attractions.
